Your Agadir to Sahara Desert tour begins with a pickup from your hotel or Agadir Airport. The road first leads inland through the fertile Souss Valley, surrounded by argan trees and traditional Berber villages.

The first stop is Taroudant, a historic city surrounded by impressive red walls. Often called “Little Marrakech,” Taroudant offers a quieter atmosphere where you can explore the medina and local markets.

Continue toward Taznakht, a town known throughout Morocco for its handmade Berber carpets. After passing through beautiful desert landscapes, arrive at Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most famous kasbahs and a UNESCO World Heritage site. This ancient fortified village has appeared in many films and historical productions.

After visiting the kasbah, continue to Ouarzazate, where you can see the famous Atlas Film Studios and the historic Taourirt Kasbah. Overnight stay in a hotel in Ouarzazate.

After breakfast, continue the journey through southern Morocco along the scenic Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.

The route passes through Skoura Oasis and the Rose Valley, famous for its annual rose festival and fragrant rose products. From there, travel toward Todra Gorge, one of Morocco’s most impressive natural wonders.

Here you will have time to walk through the canyon, where towering rock walls reach more than 300 meters high.

In the afternoon, continue through desert villages such as Tinjdad and Erfoud, known for fossils and dates. Soon after, arrive at Merzouga, gateway to the Sahara.

Here your camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes begins. As the camels walk across the golden sand, you will stop on a high dune to enjoy a beautiful sunset over the Sahara.

After sunset, arrive at your desert camp, where dinner is served under the stars followed by traditional Berber music around the campfire. Overnight stay in the Sahara.

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Sahara dunes, one of the most peaceful moments of the desert.

After breakfast at the camp, ride the camels back to Merzouga village and continue toward Rissani, a historic town once known as an important trading center. Here you can visit the lively traditional Rissani souk and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif.

The journey then continues through the desert landscapes of Jebel Saghro and the village of Nkob, known as the “Kingdom of Kasbahs” due to its many traditional clay buildings.

In the afternoon, drive through the stunning Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest valley, lined with thousands of palm trees and ancient kasbahs. Arrival in Agdez, where you will spend the night in a local kasbah hotel overlooking the oasis.

After breakfast, enjoy a final view of the Draa Valley oasis before beginning the return journey toward Agadir.

The road crosses several mountain passes and traditional Berber villages before reaching Taliouine, famous for its saffron production. If time allows, visit a local saffron cooperative.

Continue to Taroudant for another short stop before following the scenic road along the Souss Valley back toward the Atlantic coast.

By late afternoon, arrive in Agadir, where your 4-day Agadir to Sahara Desert tour concludes with a transfer to your hotel or the airport.
