Your 7 day Morocco itinerary from Fes begins with pickup from your riad, hotel, or the airport in Fes.

The first stop is Meknes, one of Morocco’s four imperial cities. Here you can visit landmarks such as Bab Mansour, the royal granaries, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. From Meknes, continue to Volubilis, one of the best-preserved Roman archaeological sites in North Africa, known for its mosaics and ancient ruins.

In the afternoon, drive north through the Rif region to Chefchaouen. Once you arrive, enjoy a walk through the medina, known for its blue-painted walls and peaceful atmosphere. You may also visit Ras El Ma and the viewpoint near the Spanish Mosque.

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning in Chefchaouen before leaving for Rabat.

The road takes you through changing landscapes as you leave the Rif Mountains and head toward the Atlantic coast. Upon arrival in Rabat, visit the city’s main historical landmarks, including Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Udayas.

If time allows, you may also visit the Chellah necropolis or enjoy a walk near the river and ocean.

After breakfast, depart Rabat and continue south to Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and economic center.

The main highlight here is the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of the most remarkable religious monuments in the country. After Casablanca, continue inland to Marrakech.

By late afternoon, arrive in Marrakech and settle into your riad. Depending on timing, you may have free time to explore Jemaa el-Fna square in the evening.

Today is dedicated to discovering Marrakech with a local guide.

Visit some of the city’s best-known sites, such as Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, Ben Youssef Madrasa, and the Koutoubia Mosque. Walk through the souks of the old medina and experience the lively atmosphere of the Red City.

You can also include Majorelle Garden depending on your preferred pace and ticket availability.

In the late afternoon, enjoy free time in Jemaa el-Fna, where musicians, storytellers, and food stalls fill the square.

Leave Marrakech in the morning and cross the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass.

Your first major stop is Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most famous ksars and a UNESCO World Heritage site. After exploring the kasbah, continue to Ouarzazate, then follow the road through Skoura and the Valley of Roses.

By late afternoon, arrive in Dades Valley, where you can visit the winding road viewpoints and the rock formations often called Monkey Fingers.

After breakfast, continue toward Todra Gorge, one of the most dramatic natural sites in southern Morocco. You will have time to walk through the canyon and enjoy the scenery.

Later, the route continues through desert towns such as Tinjdad and Erfoud before reaching Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara.

In the late afternoon, meet your camel guide and begin a camel trek across the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Stop for sunset before arriving at your desert camp.

Wake early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, return from the camp and begin the drive back to Fes.

Stop in Rissani if time allows, then continue through the Ziz Valley, with panoramic views over palm groves and oasis landscapes. After lunch in Midelt, drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains.

You may stop in the cedar forest near Azrou and then continue to Ifrane, known for its clean streets and alpine-style architecture.

Arrival in Fes in the late afternoon or evening. Drop-off at your accommodation or the airport.
