Your 4-day journey from Fes to Marrakech starts with a guided exploration of Fes, one of Morocco’s most historic cities.

With your local guide, walk through the old medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and discover its narrow streets, artisan workshops, and hidden corners. Visit the famous Bab Boujloud, the traditional tanneries, and historic schools such as Bou Inania Madrasa. You will also see the exterior of Al Qarawiyyin University, one of the oldest in the world.

Later, enjoy a panoramic view of the medina from one of the surrounding hills before returning to your riad.

After breakfast, leave Fes and travel south through the Middle Atlas Mountains.

The first stop is Ifrane, a small mountain town with alpine-style architecture. Continue to the cedar forest near Azrou, where you may see Barbary macaques among the trees.

The journey continues through Midelt and across the Tizi n’Talghamt Pass, with changing landscapes as you descend toward the desert. Stop for a panoramic view over the Ziz Valley, one of the largest palm oases in Morocco.

By late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga. Here, you will meet your camel guide and begin a camel trek into the dunes of Erg Chebbi. As the sun sets, the desert colors become more intense and the atmosphere turns quiet and peaceful.

Wake early to watch the sunrise over the dunes before breakfast at camp.

After returning to the village, continue your journey toward Rissani, an old trading center known for its traditional souk. From here, drive toward Todra Gorge, where high canyon walls create one of the most impressive natural landscapes in southern Morocco.

Take time to walk through the gorge before continuing to Dades Valley, known for its red rock formations and winding roads.

After breakfast, travel through Kalaat M’Gouna and the palm groves of Skoura, following the famous road of a thousand kasbahs.

Arrive in Ouarzazate, where you may pass by the film studios and Taourirt Kasbah, before continuing to the iconic Ait Ben Haddou. This ancient fortified village is one of Morocco’s most important historical sites and has been used as a filming location for many movies.

In the afternoon, cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying panoramic views along the way.
