Your Ouarzazate desert tour begins with a morning pickup from your hotel or the airport. The road heads toward the eastern desert landscapes, passing through small Berber villages and palm groves.

The first major stop is the spectacular Todra Gorge, one of Morocco’s most impressive natural sites. Here the canyon walls rise dramatically up to 300 meters, creating a perfect place for a short walk and photos.

After lunch in the area, continue the journey toward the Sahara Desert of Merzouga, passing through Tinjdad and Erfoud, known for fossils and date palm plantations.

By late afternoon you arrive at the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, where your camel trekking adventure begins. Ride camels across the dunes and stop on a high dune to admire the sunset over the Sahara.

Arrive at your desert camp, where dinner is served under the stars. Later, enjoy traditional Berber music around the campfire.

After breakfast, spend the day discovering the fascinating surroundings of the Merzouga desert.

Begin with a 4x4 desert excursion across the dunes and rocky desert areas. Visit an old kohl mine, then continue to meet nomadic families living in traditional desert tents. Share a cup of Berber tea while learning about their lifestyle.

Next, visit Khamlia village, home to a community originally from sub-Saharan Africa. Here you can enjoy the rhythm of Gnawa music, a unique cultural tradition.

After lunch in Merzouga, explore the nearby palm groves and visit the Merzouga seasonal lake, sometimes called Flamingo Lake.

In the late afternoon, return to the dunes for another camel ride across Erg Chebbi, stopping once again for sunset before reaching the camp.

Wake early to witness the unforgettable sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast at the camp, ride camels back to Merzouga where your driver will be waiting.

Begin the journey west toward Marrakech, passing through Rissani, one of the oldest towns in the region and famous for its traditional market.

Continue through the landscapes of southern Morocco until reaching Ait Ben Haddou, one of the country’s most famous historical sites and a UNESCO World Heritage village. Many international films were shot here thanks to its impressive architecture.

After visiting the kasbah, cross the High Atlas Mountains, stopping at the panoramic Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260m) before arriving in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
